Davon Barton is one of the top point guards in CNU program history, ranking second on the all-time assists list at Christopher Newport with 770 career dimes. Not only a top-notch facilitator, Barton was also an efficient scorer, and finished his career ranked in the top six all-time in scoring with 1,608 career points.

His name can be found in the NCAA Division III record book twice, ranking ninth all-time in career assist average (7.20) and 11th in total career assists. In the CNU record book, his name is spotted throughout the register, including atop the career free-throw percentage list as the all-time leader with a 77.4% career mark.

A four-time All-Conference and All-State selection, Barton was the 2006 USA South Rookie of the Year and earned 2008 second team All-Region honors from D3hoops.com.
