CNU vs. Mary Washington: Live Stats
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The 10th-ranked Christopher Newport field hockey team will kick off a busy weekend on Saturday at 11 a.m. with a home game against Concordia (Wisc.) before hitting the road for a Capital Athletic Conference showdown at Mary Washington on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
The Captains enter the weekend with a 4-1 record, including a 3-0 mark at home. Meanwhile, Concordia sits at 4-2 overall, while Mary Washington is 6-2.

In their last outing, the Captains saw their four-game winning streak come to an end with a 3-2 setback at Washington & Lee. During that contest,
Jackie Kotoriy and
Ariana Samuel both found the back of the cage, while
Courtnie Greene and
Bailey Miller added assists. It marked Kotoriy's third straight game with a point and Miller's third assist in the last two contests.
Overall this season, Kotoriy leads the CAC with four assists, while
Courtney Fiest is second in the league with seven goals and 14 points.
Rachel Cooke also has eight points, including five against Randolph-Macon last Wednesday. Meanwhile, on the defensive side,
Olivia Davis leads the conference with a 0.82 goals-against-average and ranks third with a .765 save percentage.
Concordia (Wisc.) comes into the weekend following a 9-2 setback at Centre on Sunday. Megan McPike scored both of the team's goals in that game and currently leads the Falcons with 10 goals and 22 points this season. Sam Dunn has also found the back of the cage five times, while Rachel Larson has dished out three assists. On the back end, Katelyn Fitzgerald has a 3.20 goals-against-average, and both Karissa Faubel and Abigail Martin have a pair of defensive saves.
Mary Washington enters Sunday on a four-game winning streak, including a 1-0 victory at Catholic on Tuesday. Jessica Cavolt registered the shutout and made four saves against the Cardinals, while Morgan MacCartney added the game's only tally off a corner attempt. Overall this season, Lauren Hopkins leads the league with 10 goals and 21 points, while Cavolt has a league-best .800 save percentage. Lexie Dixson also sits second in the league with three assists.
Saturday's contest will mark the first-ever match-up between CNU and Concordia. Sunday's tilt will be the 20th all-time meeting between Christopher Newport and Mary Washington. The Captains hold a 13-6 edge in the series, including a 1-0 triumph in the semifinals of the CAC Tournament last year.
