NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport Director of Community Outreach Roland Ross announced that the Spring Clothing Drive Giveaway resulted in 1,000 items being donated to a variety of locations in the Hampton Roads area.
In partnership with PrintingWright, the CNU coaches and student-athletes collected items ranging from t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and sneakers. Following the collection, the Captains donated items to four local organizations including the Greater Hampton Roads Boys & Girls Club, SafeHaven Empowerment Center, Achievable Dream, and Newport News Juvenile Detention.
