HAMPTON, Va. --
Kendal Chang highlighted the Captains' action at the Hampton Mock Dual Invite on Saturday. Chang won her singles match and added a doubles victory with both coming against Division I competition.
Chang paired with
Samantha Robertson for a 6-3 win against East Carolina's Kim Auerswald and Ivona Savekova. The sophomore also secured a win against Hampton's Serena Bryan in singles play, 6-2, 6-4, to cap an impressive day individually.
In singles,
Erin Gross and
Emma Carver each captured the first set against their Division I foes before ultimately suffering setbacks. Both came against Hampton's Melis Sakiroglu as Carver fell 0-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-2) and Gross dropped a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-2) decision.
The two-day event will conclude on Sunday.
