Captains Girls Basketball Camps
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport University head women's basketball coach Bill Broderick has announced that registration is now open for three girls basketball camps this summer. The Elite Camp will be held on June 23-24, followed by the FUNdamental Day Camp on June 26-30. The Prospect Showcase will then be held on August 5.
The Captains Girls Basketball Camps are dedicated to providing an opportunity for players of all levels to develop and improve their basketball skills through instruction in fundamentals and participation in contests and games. Campers will be divided into groups based upon age and ability levels to insure the best possible experience for each camper. We hope that all campers will also acquire an appreciation for teamwork, sportsmanship and the enjoyment of competition that comes with the game of basketball through a memorable camp experience.

$185 - Overnight Campers (Check-in: Friday, June 23 - 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.)
$150 - Commuter Campers (Check-in: Friday, June 23 - 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.)
$75 - Single Day June 23 (2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.)

Prospect Showcase

Ages: High School Players (Rising 9th-12th graders)
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $50
There will be a free campus tour option following this camp. This showcase is for the advanced, serious-minded high school player who is interested in playing at the collegiate level. Activities will be built around the opportunity for players to demonstrate their ability to eventually play at the next level consisting of competitive 5 v 5 games, 3 v 3 activities and skills competitions including Free Throw Shooting, 3pt. Shooting and 1-on-1 contest as well as a seminar on College Admissions, Recruiting Process, etc. All campers will receive a Free Camp T-Shirt.
