Elizabeth Creed each earned repeat honors while juniors
Caitlin Crump and
Jessica Dornak each earned the prestigious academic certificate for the first time.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-District honorees must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or have started in at least 66 percent while carrying a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher as at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Crump and Dornak join an exclusive group of Christopher Newport women's basketball players to garner the prestigious honor including Barbara Davis (2010-11), Sondra Fan (2021-22, 2022-23), Hanna Kaloi (2022-23),
Gabbi San Diego (2022-23), Katy Rader (2022-23), Nicole Timko (2023-24), along with Kellogg and Creed joining last year.
Closing out her career with a second straight Academic All-District selection, Kellogg capped her tenure with a standout season on and off the floor. Taking over the full-time starting point guard role, Kellogg was one of only two players to start all 29 games in 2025-26. She earned second team All-Conference honors and was named to the C2C All-Tournament Team. The veteran guard ranked 13th nationally in Division III in assist-to-turnover ratio after dishing a career-high 101 assists in her final campaign. In the classroom, Kellogg boasts a near-perfect GPA while working toward a degree in Political Science.
Also collecting a second CSC Academic All-District pick, Creed helped lead the front court for the Captains in her junior season. She was the other Captain to start all 29 games this season and recorded a career-high 201 points while ranking in the top five in scoring with 6.9 points per game. With her performance in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, she earned All-Tournament Team honors. Following her junior season, Creed is closing in on 500 career points in 84 career games while starting 48. She is double majoring in Psychology and Leadership Studies.
Earning her first career Academic All-District selection, junior
Jessica Dornak helped control the paint for Christopher Newport this season. Moving into the starting lineup, Dornak appeared in all 29 games with 27 starts while leading the team in field-goal percentage by knocking down 53.6 percent of her attempts. She ranked second on the team in rebounding with 147 boards for 5.1 per game while also leading the team in blocked shots. Dornak is majoring in Kinesiology.
Finally,
Caitlin Crump earned her first career Academic All-District pick after appearing in 27 games and starting 25 during her third season as a Captain. She finished the season with 5.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Off the floor, Crump boasts one of thet op GPA's on the team while studying toward a degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Physiological Biology.
With the aforementioned quartet, Christopher Newport finished the season ranked No. 16 in the final WBCA Coaches Poll and No. 25 in the D3hoops.com national rankings. CNU concluded the year with a 24-5 overall record after winning a seventh consecutive conference crown and reached the NCAA Tournament for the tenth straight season.
