NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The fourth-ranked Christopher Newport men's lacrosse team's game against Southern Virginia on Wednesday at 4 p.m. has been canceled. The Captains will return to action on Saturday with a noon battle at Mary Washington.

Following a recent rash of injuries and illnesses in the past few days, Southern Virginia was unable to field enough players in order to take part in Wednesday's contest. With less than two weeks remaining in the regular season, the game will not be rescheduled for later in the year.
