The Captains started the day with a morning matchup with the Stormy Petrels at 10:00 am. CNU came out of doubles play leading 2-1, powered by wins at No. 2 and 3. Rookie Logan Eldridge paired with sophomore Jackie Gaine at the second line, winning 8-4, and Kelsey Clark played with Katlyn Yarborough at the third line, winning 8-6.

Gaine fell behind Katherine Walker in third line match, but bounced back for wins 6-2, 6-1 in the second and third. Like her teammate, rookie Katie Carlson also fell behind, 6-3, in the first set, but responded with similar 6-2, 6-1 wins to secure the team win for CNU.

In the second match of the day, CNU traveled to one of the top teams in the country, as they faced undefeated Emory University. The Eagles pulled away early and earned the 9-0 win over CNU in the afternoon match. Clark had the strongest performance for the Captains, winning three games at the No. 4 position.
