NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The CNU women's soccer team (2-3) will return to the pitch on Sunday, as they play host to Roanoke College (4-1-1) at 1:00 pm. The Captains split the first two games at home this season, as they defeated Western Connecticut State, 2-1, in overtime and dropped a 3-2 decision to Kean University.

Dani Gunderson (Newport News, Va.) leads the offense through five games this season, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Sophomore

Roanoke is currently ranked fourth in the NSCAA South Atlantic Region and is unbeaten in three straight games, going 2-0-1. The Maroons have not allowed a goal in over 300 minutes, posting three straight shutouts. Roanoke has been led in goal by Carolyn Sarabacher, with a 0.38 goals against average and a .917 save percentage in over 200 minutes of action.
