NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport's women's tennis team blanked Averett 9-0 on a chilly Friday afternoon, winning six matches by shutouts. The Captains improved to 10-2 overall and 4-0 in the USA South, remaining in the thick of the conference race and dropped the Cougars to 3-7, 2-2.
