NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The CNU women's soccer team will host its home opener this weekend as a part of the 2010 Captains Classic. The Classic will begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday when Virginia Wesleyan College takes on Frostburg State University, followed by the Captains (1-1-0) facing off against California Lutheran University (2-0-0). 

The four teams will be back in action on Sunday, as Wesleyan faces Cal Lutheran at 1:00 pm and CNU plays Frostburg State at approximately 3:00 pm.

The Captains have started the season 1-1, with a loss to #1 Messiah and a 2-1 victory over Montclair State last weekend at the 2010 Marlins Classic. Dani Gunderson (Newport News, Va.) and Annemarie Weaver (Norfolk, Va.) each scored for the Captains to lead CNU past Montclair State.
