Box Score ST. MARY'S CITY, MD – CNU men's lacrosse dropped their last game of the season to St. Mary's, 16-5. The loss gives CNU a 7-9 record for the 2010 season and improves St. Mary's to 10-6.
St. Mary's struck first at 12:55 with an unassisted goal from Chad McCarthy. The Seahawks continued with three more goals in the first period making it 4-0 going into the second. St. Mary's scored at 13:47 making it 5-0 before the Captains put their first goal in at 13:38 from
Zach Hill. The Seahawks answered with four goals giving them a 9-1 lead at the half.
Hill got his second goal of the game at 11:07 in the third period. The Seahawks scored four more in the half while the Captains added another making it 13-3 at the end of the third period. CNU started the fourth period just like the third, with a goal from Hill. Four minutes later St. Mary's put up another and added one more at 1:39 giving them a 15-4 lead.
John Glaser got his first goal of the game with 1:18 remaining and with 12 seconds to go, Ryan Alexander scored his third for the Seahawks to make it a 16-5 final.
Leading the Captains was Hill with three goals while CNU goalie,
Andy McGregor, had 18 saves.
