NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - After registering a First Round victory over Washington & Lee and a Second Round victory over Roanoke this past weekend in The Freeman Center, the CNU women's basketball team will be traveling to Union, NJ for their Sweet Sixteen match up with Rochester.

Only the second Sweet Sixteen appearance in program history, the 30-0 Captains will play a Rochester team who registered a First Round victory over SUNY-Cortland and then defeated Mary Washington in overtime to earn their 21-6 record and advance to their match up with CNU. 

The sectional will be hosted by Kean University (28-1) and the other game on Friday night will feature the hosts against Bowdoin College (22-6).  The winners of both games on Friday will play Saturday for the right to advance to the NCAA Division III women's basketball Final Four.
