ATLANTA, Ga. -
Chelsie Schweers has been named an All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, one of only ten NCAA Division III women's basketball players in the country to earn the honor.
A junior from Chesapeake, VA, Schweers led CNU's women's basketball team in scoring during the 2009-10 season with 24.5 points per game and was a key figure in the program's record setting season. Schweers and the Captains finished the season 30-1 after completing the first ever undefeated regular season in Captains basketball season and advancing as far as the NCAA sweet sixteen.
The honor marks the third consecutive year that Schweers has earned an All-American award for her performance on the court and her first All-American award from the WBCA.
