NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The CNU women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie with Shenandoah Sunday afternoon at Captains Field.
CNU out-shot the Hornets, 23-7, but was unable to score on SU and slipped into second place in the USA South standings with a 6-0-2 record. Meredith is 7-1.

Dineen Sampson made three saves against Shenandoah which is now 9-6-4 and 4-1-3 in the conference. CNU is 8-7-3 overall.
The Captains close the regular season at N.C. Wesleyan Friday at 4 p.m.
