NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The CNU Women's Soccer team defeated Peace College 8-1 on Sunday afternoon  to improve to 7-6-2 overall.

   Emily Chesbro got the Captains going early when she scored in the 9th minute of the game. That 1-0 lead was short lived as Peace tied the game at 1-1 only a minute later.

   The Captains then proceeded to put seven more goals on the board with two coming from Britta McDonnel and Kendall Dishaw, Katie Jaywork, Candace Thompson, Sam Ciaravino and Tiffany Van Decker all had one.

   The Captains will return to action Wednesday night when they travel to Virginia Wesleyan for a 7pm game.
