NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The CNU Women's Soccer team came from behind Sunday to beat Greensboro 2-1.
The Captains fell behind 1-0 in the 10th minute when the Pride's Melissa Torzewski beat CNU keeper
Dineen Sampson.
The Captains were able to out shoot the Pride 9-4 in the first half but were unable to find the back of the net. It was not until the 53rd minute that
Katie Jaywork was able to put the Captains on the board when she connected off a shot that bounced off the Greensboro goalie.
The Captains took the lead for good when
Megan Conheeney scored with ten minutes to go.
With the win the Captains improve to 5-6-2 and will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Raleigh N.C. to play Peace and Meredith.
