Womens Soccer Rolls Past Shenandoah, 7-2

WINCHESTER, VA – Christopher Newport's women's soccer team snapped a two-game losing streak and opened USA South play on a positive note by defeating Shenandoah 7-2 Wednesday afternoon.

 The Lady Captains got two goals each from Emily Chesbro and Becca Grady.

 Jenn Campbell finished with one goal and one assist while Sam Ciaravino and Liz Nuesch each finished with one score.

 Stefani Brown and Brittany Revels each had one assist in the win.

 The Captains out-shot the Hornets, 15-6. Erin Wojtkun (2 saves) and Dineen Sampson (2 saves) each split time in net.

 Christopher Newport improves to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the USA South. Shenandoah falls to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

 CNU returns to action Saturday when they host Meredith at 4 pm.
