NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport's volleyball team won its 19th in a row and finished 2-0 on day one of the CNU Invitational by sweeping Susquehanna Friday night in the Freeman Center.
The Captains won by game scores of 30-11, 30-28, and 30-14.
CNU was paced by Sarah Hunkele's 11 kills. Allie Wolfe finished with 10 kills on 15 attempts with no errors for a .600 hitting percentage. She also had eight digs.
Brittany Collins finished with 31 assists five aces, five kills and six digs. Sarah Coffey finished with a team-high 12 digs.
Christopher Newport is now 20-5 on the year. The Captains return to action Saturday as they take on West Virginia Wesleyan at 11 am, the final match in pool play.
