NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport's volleyball team won its 18th straight match by sweeping Gallaudet 3-0 on day one of the CNU Invitational Friday afternoon.
The Captains won by scores of 30-22, 30-23 and 30-16.
Allie Wolfe had eight kills and 13 digs to pace CNU. Ellen Koch also finished with eight kills. Brittany Collins finished with 30 assists and nine digs. Christie Kirby added 14 digs.
Christopher Newport improves to 19-5 overall. The Bison fall to 16-8 on the year. Gallaudet will play West Virginia Wesleyan at 3 pm in pool play while the Captains will take on Susquehanna, also in pool play, at 7 pm.
