NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University travels to York, Pa., on Sunday afternoon for a softball doubleheader at York College. The opening game is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.

The Captains are ranked 16th in the nation, and have a record of 16-6 following a split on Thursday at Averett University. York enters play with a record of 11-2, and the Spartans are also coming off a split on Saturday at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

Christopher Newport and York have played 22 times in softball action, and the Captains have an all-time mark of 18-4 vs. the Spartans. CNU has won the last five games, including two last year on March 1st at Captains Park.

Following Sunday's games, the Captains have another road doubleheader coming up on Wednesday at Bridgewater College, with start time set for 2:30 p.m.
