NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University moved up two spots in the new weekly poll released Tuesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
Keith Parr's squad has a record of 10-4 and has won seven straight games after sweeping four last weekend in the Cross Bay Bash at Captains Park.
The Captains return to action on the road as they travel to Lynchburg, Va., on Wednesday for a twin bill at Randolph College. The first game is set for a 2:00 p.m. start. Randolph has a record of 2-8 entering the doubleheader. Links to the live stats and live video (with subscription only) of the games are provided at the top of this story.
Christopher Newport and Randolph have met 13 times in the past, and the Captains have won all 13 previous games with the WildCats.
CNU returns home on Friday to host Greensboro College in a 1:00 p.m. start at Captains Park.
