NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University hosts the Cross Bay Bash Softball Tournament this weekend at Captains Park on the CNU campus. The Captains, 6-4 and ranked 17th in the nation this week, will play two games Saturday and two more on Sunday.

The schedule has Keith Parr's team taking on the University of Rochester (11:00 a.m.) and Southern Virginia University (4:00 p.m.) on Saturday. The games begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday as well, as Rochester will play Susquehanna University. CNU then battles Rochester at 1:30 p.m. and the final game Sunday has the Captains playing Susquehanna  at 4:00 p.m.

The Captains are coming off the Grand Slam Triangle Classic last weekend in Raleigh, N.C., that saw them win three of four games.
