The matchup against Regent is the third all-time meeting between the two programs as Christopher Newport has won te first two and owns a 2-0-0 advantage in the series. CNU surrendered a penalty kick goal in the first half and locked up Washington and Lee the rest of the game. Prior to the setback, the Captains had back-to-back 2-1 wins against Batten and Marymount as the team improved to 7-2-1 on the season.

Riley Usher leads the group with 10 points (4g, 2a) while
Drew McWhinney (3g, 1a) and
Michael Hackworth (2g, 3a) each have seven points for the offensive players. A starter on defense,
Yazan Yaghmmour, has also added eight points on three goals and two assists this season. Additionally,
Evan Rupe,
Manzi Siibo, and
Colin Skwirut have helped CNU post one of the best offensive seasons in a decade.
In goal, another senior has led the way in
Matt Yates as the netminder has posted a 1.15 goals-against average on 80 shots faced this season.
Regent will counter the Captains efforts after a long layoff having not taken the field since Wednesday, September 30.
