NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University hosts the 2025 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday at Captains Park. The starting time has been moved up to 1:00 p.m., as second-seeded Salisbury Univesity will play the third-seeded University of Mary Washington in the opening game. Top-seeded Christopher Newport will then play the winner of the opening game in the championship game, which is now scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

The tournament format has been changed this season, and will be single elimination with two games to decide the league champion. The Captains enter Friday's title game ranked third in the country with a 34-4 record, and a 22-2 mark at home this season. Salisbury is ranked eighth and is 32-5-1, while Mary Washington is 11-29 heading into Friday's play. CNU swept doubleheaders over both Mary Washington and Salisbury last week to conclude the regular season.

Christopher Newport features both the Player and Pitcher of the Year in the C2C in Brooke Greaver and Jamie Martin. Greaver, a fifth-year senior third baseman, has 12 home runs and 56 runs batted in this season, and is fourth on CNU's all-time home run and RBI list. It marked Greaver's second league Player of the Year award. Martin, meanwhile, was tabbed the Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season on Thursday after posting a 15-2 mark this year with 142 strikeouts. Martin was also named the C2C's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

The major honors for the Captains also included Rookie of the Year, as freshman second baseman Cora Thomas received the honor. Thomas led the C2C in stolen bases this year with 25. Head Coach Keith Parr and his assistants were also named the Coaching Staff of the Year in the C2C. 

There will be no admission charge for the conference tournament at Captains Park.
