NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The second-ranked Captains of Christopher Newport University begin their quest for a second NCAA Division III National Championship on Thursday. Keith Parr's squad takes on the Rams of Farmingdale State College (NY), with first pitch set for 11:00 a.m. The Captains are 35-4 while the Rams are 29-14 heading into the first game of the four-team, double-elimination regional. Randolph-Macon College will play Alfred University in the second game on Thursday, with the opening pitch set for 1:30 p.m.

Play will continue with three games scheduled for Friday, and then the Championship on Saturday at Captains Park. The winner will advance to the 16-team Super Regional round next week. The final eight teams still standing will then travel to Bloomington, Illinois, for the national finals May 29th-June 4th.

Tickets for this weekend will be single day tickets with Adults $10.00,  and Students/Senior tickets at $5.00 and will be cash only. CNU Students will be admitted free with current ID. Tickets will go on sale one hour prior to the first game each day.
