Toa Hollenbeck registered two impressive performances over the weekend, and Monday was named the Player of the Week by the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C). Hollenbeck, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., led the Captains to wins over Dickinson College and Pfeiffer University, and was selected to the All-Tournament team in the CNU Holiday INNvitational.
Hollenbeck averaged 21.5 points per game, scoring 25 on Saturday in a 79-68 victory over Dickinson and then adding 18 more on Sunday in an 80-66 win over Pfeifer. Hollenbeck made 13 of 26 shots, including four of ten from three-point range, and also posted seven rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in the Freeman Center triumphs. Hollenbeck made 11 of 12 shots at the foul line Saturday vs. Dickinson, converting 11 in a row after missing his first attempt of the night. A dozen of his 18 points on Sunday came after halftime, as the Captains rallied from behind to beat Pfeiffer.
A graduate of Grassfield High School, Hollenbeck was a first team All-Conference honoree last season, and was the Rookie of the Year in the C2C as well as Region Rookie of the Year following his freshman season.  He leads the Captains in scoring this season, averaging 17.4 per game through the first seven games.
The Captains have now won four straight games and are 5-2 on the season.
John Krikorian's squad will travel to Arlington, Va., this Wednesday night as the Captains will play at Marymount University. Tip off time is set for 7:00 p.m.
