MAISA WOMEN'S FALL DINGHY - Full Results
NORFOLK, Va. -- The Captains finished with a seventh-place finish out of 15 teams in the MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy to close out the fall portion of the schedule this weekend.
Sailors took the water in a northwesterly wind on Saturday, completing eight races in each division. On Sunday, the fleet managed another five races to finish out the event with 13 finished in both A and B division.
In A division sailing,
Grace Watlington and
Gail Schneider paired up for a seventh place finish. The duo scored 96 points for the Captains including one win and a second place finish. In the 13 completed races, Watlington and Schneider had 11 top-ten finishes and four top-five's.
In B division, Christopher Newport had
Laura Smith and
Gabby Byrne captured a ninth place effort. Scoring 119 points, the Captains tandem also had one win. They also captured eight top ten efforts to edge out George Washington University in eighth.

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -- Closing out the fall season in Maryland, the Captains competed in the War Memorial regatta and finished in 13th place out of 18 teams.
As a team, the Captains scored 419 total points with a 223-point effort at A division and 196-point showing in B division.
The A division boat was sailed by
Aston Atherton and
Berend Van der Meer and the B division tandem was
Josh Bendura and
Jon Matney. In B division, CNU finished in 12th place with 196 points as Bendura and Matney crossed the line in first place once. In A division, CNU was in 13th with 223 points after Atherton and Van der Meer also had one win. As a pair, they had five top-ten finishes.
