NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University's softball team will have a quiet weekend due to a rainy weather forecast for Salisbury, Md. CNU was scheduled to play on Sunday at Salisbury University, but the doubleheader has been postponed.

Keith Parr announced on Friday the pair of games against the Sea Gulls will be moved to Saturday, May 6th, with the starting time still scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Captains, ranked sixth in the country, have a record of 24-6 and the games vs. Salisbury are the only games remaining on the regular-season schedule. Salisbury is the top-ranked team in the country with a mark of 34-2.
Christopher Newport will return to Salisbury for the 2023 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Softball Tournament, which is scheduled to begin on May 11th and continue through May 13th.
