NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Sunday softball at Captains Park will feature a doubleheader, as the second-ranked Captains take on Meredith College. Keith Parr's Captains have won four straight games, all last weekend in the second Cross Bay Bash of the season at Captains Park. CNU defeated Husson twice on Friday and then downed Stockton and Randolph-Macon in single games on Saturday. Junior third baseman
Brooke Greaver had a big weekend for CNU, and was selected the Player of the Week in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference. Greaver, from Abingdon, Md., posted a .462 average and 1.308 slugging percentage in six games last week, going 6-for-13 at the plate with three home runs and 11 runs batted in. Sophomore pitcher

Meredith College is coming off a ten-day break after making a trip to Florida, where the Avenging Angels split six games in Kissimmee. CNU and Meredith have played 35 games in the all-time series, and the Captains have won 32 of the 35, including four last year when the schools met twice for doubleheaders.
