NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Christopher Newport men's and women's basketball teams joined several clubs from the Newport News area at the Greater Hampton Roads Boys & Girls Club earlier this week for the 5th annual Back to School Basketball Clinic. 

Clubs from around the city brought their kids to participate in drills and games with the nationally-ranked CNU men's and women's basketball teams. The Captains worked with approximately 80 young players on the Iverson Indoor Court and the Nancy Lieberman Dream Court outdoors. 

Nearly 20 CNU basketball players, including All-Americans Jahn Hines and Sondra Fan, were available to work with the children on basketball skills. Teams were taken through stretching, strength and conditioning exercises, shooting, and other activities.
