NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University senior
Darian Peterson was selected the Player of the Week on Monday in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference. Peterson, from Richmond, is the fourth different member of the squad to receive the accolade this season.
Peterson posted 23 points and 11 rebounds in CNU's 91-69 victory last Wednesday at William Peace University. He made 11 of 12 shots and also recorded four assists, a blocked shot, and a steal in the 22-point triumph. It was his second double-double performance of the season. Peterson joins teammates

Trey Barber, and
Jason Aigner on the list of Captains to be named Player of the Week this season. Hines and Barber have each been honored twice.
The Captains, 18-2 and riding a 15-game winning streak, return to action on Wednesday night. Christopher Newport, ranked eighth in the nation, will travel to Salisbury, Md., to take on the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University. Tip off time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Maggs Center.
