Christopher Newport Softball Ranked Fourth; Captains Return to Action Thursday vs. Bridgewater

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Christopher Newport softball team has been off the field for two weeks due to CoVID protocol, but Keith Parr's squad returns to action Thursday afternoon. The Captains, 14-6 on the season, host the undefeated Eagles of Bridgewater College at Captains Park. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Captains last saw action on March 17th, when they split a home doubleheader with Virginia Wesleyan. Bridgewater enters play Thursday with an 8-0 record, most recently sweeping a twin bill from Shenandoah on Tuesday.
