The Captains won six straight games last weekend in the Grand Slam Triangle Classic, a tournament staged in Raleigh, North Carolina. Junior Patty Maye Ohanian and senior Trish Webb were honored by the Capital Athletic Conference as Player and Pitcher of the Week for their outstanding efforts in the tourney. Ohanian, an All-American in each of her first two seasons with the Captains, slammed four home runs and drove in 13 runs in the six games, and Webb threw a no-hitter and won both of her starts, allowing just one unearned run in 13 innings of work. The Captains have won the Pitcher of the Week honor in each of the first two weeks from the CAC, as senior Aubrey Bates took the award last week.
