ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Christopher Newport men's tennis team has wrapped up the first two days of competition at the Joe Hunt Invitational hosted by the United States Naval Academy. Newcomer Scotty Hunter picked up a pair of wins on Saturday to lead the way while sophomore Mason Kolls earned two wins on Friday. 

In doubles action, Hunter paired with Ryan Macy for a 6-3 win over St. Bonaventure's pairing of Martin Estevarena and Lukas Linden, 6-3. James Baron and Andy Mason earned the only other win in doubles play in the White Doubles draw, defeating Georgetown's Mark Militzer and Luke Ross, 6-3. 

Kolls highlighted singles play on Friday in the Orange Singles draw with a pair of wins. He first defeated Andres Vergara (SBU), 6-2, 6-2 and Priyan Desilva (Mary Washington), 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2. 

On Saturday, Hunter earned a singles win over a Division I opponent with a 6-2, 6-3 victory against St. Bonaventure sophomore Martin Estevarena. He also won the first set against Georgetown's Kieran Foster, 6-2, but dropped the match in three sets. 

Christopher Newport will conclude their appearance at the tournament on Sunday.
