NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport hosts York College (Pa.) Sunday in a Capital Athletic Conference softball doubleheader. The twin bill at Captains Park is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m., and it will be Senior Day as CNU honors

Keith Parr's squad is 22-3 and ranked third in the country this week. CNU led the nation the last two weeks in the Top 25 poll from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). The Captains top the CAC standings at 4-0.
York College will enter Sunday's doubleheader with a record of 20-12 and a CAC mark of 5-3. The Spartans swept a twin bill at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Va., Saturday afternoon, by scores of 1-0 and 8-0 in five innings. York has now won eight of its last nine games. The Captains and Spartans split a twin bill last season in York, Pennsylvania.

Christopher Newport will follow Sunday's action with a Tuesday home doubleheader with Penn State-Harrisburg. The CAC twin bill is set to start at 3:00 p.m. at Captains Park. CNU will then close out the regular season next weekend on the road with CAC doubleheaders at Salisbury and Mary Washington Friday and Saturday.
