NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- The Christopher Newport softball team hosts DePauw University at Captains Park this afternoon. The non-conference doubleheader will begin at 2:00 p.m.

CNU is 10-5 on the year and coming off a split at Eastern Mennonite on Sunday. Keith Parr's squad will be playing at Captains Park for the first time in 2015 due to bad weather and construction of new dugouts at the facility.

DePauw University is located in Greencastle, Indiana, and will be playing for the first time in Newport News. The schools have played three games in the past, with CNU holding a 2-1 series lead. They last met in the 2013 season, a 5-1 CNU win. The Captains also beat the Tigers in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, 11-3, in Salem. DePauw is 7-6 on the year and the Tigers have lost their last three games, including two at Salisbury on Sunday.
