Playing John Kirby, the CNU freshman dropped the first set, 6-4, but answered with a 6-1 win in the second before a 10-7 win in the deciding set.
Dodd played at No. 6 in both matches and surrendered just two games in the first match versus Brian Blocher. He won 6-2, 6-0 to help the Captains win a 9-0 match against the Knights. Then, against Washington & Lee, Dodd faced off against Robert Conley and pulled away for a 6-3, 6-3 win.
