On Thursday, Christopher Newport extended its winning streak to four with a 3-0 victory over Wesley. The win marked Lindsay Birch's 400th career victory. The Captains helped their coach reach the milestone with a tremendous team effort. The squad registered 18 aces, which stands as the highest single-match total since 2007. The defense also notched 10 blocks, including five by Ashley Rock.

In a well-rounded effort, everyone on the roster contributed to the victory. Eleven Captains tallied at least one kill, including four by Rock and Eliza Fisher. Tylar McGill also added a team-high 10 assists, while Rachel Close led the squad with five digs. Aided by Close's performance on the back row and Rock's effort up front, CNU limited the Wolverines to a -.203 hitting percentage.

Overall this season, Christopher Newport has limited the opposition to a miniscule .112 hitting percentage. On the opposite end, the CNU attack has compiled a .274 mark, which currently ranks in the top-10 nationally. The squad also sits among the NCAA leaders in kills- and assists-per-set.

On an individual level, Hannah Miller leads the squad with a .373 hitting percentage and 85 blocks. She is also tied with Briana Sutton for the team-lead with 252 kills. Rachel Conway has helped balance out the attack and currently leads the CAC with a 10.37 assists-per-set average. Brooke Moore has anchored the back row with 315 digs.

Penn State Harrisburg enters the weekend on a 12-match skid, including a 3-0 setback to Frostburg State on Wednesday. Kiara Carter leads the Lions with 98 kills this year, while Casey Stump and Deesier Garcia both have 15 aces. On the defensive end, Carter has 19 blocks, while Erin Goodyear has pocketed 106 digs.

Following Saturday's action, Christopher Newport will remain at home for a 7 p.m. match against St. Mary's on Wednesday.
