Biography

2015 - Sophomore Season - Competed in 12 matches during her second year with the Captains … Finished the season with 54 kills as a right-side hitter … Drilled 11 kills and added a pair of blocks against St. Benedict on September 11 … Came back with nine more kills later in the day at UMass Boston … Had six kills during both ends of the doubleheader on September 12 against Tufts and No. 12 Eastern … Also contributed a season-high two aces and four digs against Tufts … Collected three blocks against Susquehanna on September 4 … Finished the year with seven rejections.

2014 - Freshman Season - Pieced together an incredible first year with the Captains … Became only the second freshman in CNU history to earn All-American honors after collecting honorable mention nods from the AVCA … Also secured first-team All-Region accolades and was a second-team All-Conference and All-State selection … Finished fourth on the team with 264 kills and ranked sixth in the CAC with a .272 hitting percentage … Also stood third on the team with 46 aces, marking the most by a CNU freshman since 2009 … Was electric throughout the year, finishing with 11 double-digit kill efforts … Blistered a career-high 18 kills while hitting .500 against Berry on September 12 … Followed that performance with 12 kills and five blocks against Johns Hopkins on September 13 … Earned a spot on the CNU Invitational All-Tournament team for those efforts … Had at least 10 kills in four straight matches from September 26 - October 3 … Also added a season-high six blocks at Salisbury in the CAC opener on September 30 before equaling that mark with six more rejections against Randolph-Macon on October 24 … Had a solid postseason run, including 10 kills against Salisbury in the CAC Championship match on November 8 and 10 more blasts against Stevenson in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on November 15 … Wrapped up the year with another tremendous performance after unloading eight kills without a single attack error in the Elite Eight against No. 1 Calvin on November 21 … Did solid work along the net throughout the season and ranked fourth on the squad with 64 blocks.

Woodson - Starred for four years with the Cavaliers … Collected first-team All-State and All-Region accolades as a senior while averaging 5.3 kills-per-set … Also named the Patriot Conference MVP and secured honorable mention Washington Post All-Met nods in 2013 … Earned first-team All-Conference and honorable mention All-Region accolades as a junior … Helped guide the team to two straight Conference Championships as a sophomore and junior and led the program to its first-ever appearance in the State Tournament in 2012.
