Homecoming and Family Weekend at CNU Promise Big Crowd

NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Only a limited number of general admission tickets remain for Saturday's CNU football game vs. North Carolina Wesleyan. The USA South game will kick off at 7 p.m. at POMOCO Stadium, and is part of Christopher Newport's Homecoming and Family Weekend. Standing room only tickets will be sold at the gate Saturday night.

CNU struggled early last week at Averett, trailing 14-0 at the half. Matt Kelchner's team bounced back in the second half, scoring 23 unanswered points in a 23-14 road win.

The Bishops are 2-4 overall but 2-1 in conference play. CNU beat NCWC last year in Rocky Mount, 23-15, but lost to the Bishops two seasons ago at POMOCO Stadium, 35-7. N.C. Wesleyan is coming off a 31-19 road win last week at Greensboro.
