SCHEDULE CHANGE: Captains Soccer in Action Tuesday Night

Men's soccer vs. N.C. Wesleyan moved to Tuesday

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Head coach Steve Shaw announced a schedule change today, as this Wednesday's make-up game vs. N.C. Wesleyan College has been moved to Tuesday, October 11. The second-ranked Captains (10-0-1, 2-0-0) will play the Battling Bishops (4-3-4, 1-0-0) at 7:00 pm Tuesday night in USA South Athletic Conference action.

The game, originally scheduled for September 24, was rained out and rescheduled for this week.

The Captains will return to the pitch for the first time since a 7-0 scorching of the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders on Saturday. Senior All-American Winston Mattheisen led the way with his first career hat trick. Classmate Brian Lybert continues to lead the squad in scoring with 25 points, scoring eight goals and adding nine assists so far this season.

The Battling Bishops are led by Owen White with 17 points (6g, 5a) and Omar Kanten with 11 points (5g, 1a). Defensively, Alberto Faisca is one of the strongest keepers in the league, posting a 0.46 goals against average
