Box Score ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The CNU baseball team began its final push for a possible NCAA tournament at-large bid with a 6-3 victory over St. Mary's Tuesday.
After the Seahawks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Captains responded with three of their own in the second and never trailed again.

Steven Lindemuth reached base after a strikeout that got past the catcher.
Ben Lenda was then hit by a pitch. After St. Mary's got the second out,
Shayne Kersey boomed a double to left center, scoring both runners.
Joey Martin then singled to drive in Kersey.
The Seahawks added a run in the third, but again CNU battled back with two in the fourth. Lindemuth tripled and Lenda was again hit by a pitch. Lenda stole second and then both scored on a single by Kersey.
CNU added another run in the seventh when
Connor Madden singled, stole second, and came all the way home on a wild pitch.
Kersey finished with two hits and four RBIs as the Captains improved to 23-14.
Bryce Morrison got his third win of the year, scattering five hits and one earned run over five innings.
Jason Jenkins went the final four innings, surrendering just one run.
The Captains will host Salisbury Thursday at 3 p.m.
