Box Score   BURLINGTON, N.C. - Kristen Rowe and Krista Townsend combined on a one-hit shut as CNU won its USA South Softball Tournament opener over N.C. Wesleyan Friday, 8-0.
  Rowe pitched five innings, allowing one hit while striking out ten, and Townsend hurled a perfect sixth. The Captains ended the game on the mercy rule with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
  CNU scored in every inning except the second and ended the game on RBI singles by Ashley Mani and Chelsea Mitchell in the sixth.
  Mary Kennedy and Jen Falin paced CNU with two hits each. Falin also had two RBIs. The win improved Rowe's record to 17-3.
  The Captains, now 35-6, meet fifth-seeded Meredith Saturday at noon.
