Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Meghan Harkey's three goals weren't enough as CNU women's lacrosse fell to Lynchburg College, 11-7, at Captains Field. The loss drops CNU to 4-3 while Lynchburg improves to 6-2.

CNU got things started with the first two goals of the game from Meghan Harkey (24:50) and Kaitlin Quigley (23:13). Lynchburg answered with four goals making it 4-2 with 3:51 left in the first half. CNU's Lauren King scored back to back goals at 3:37 and 2:33 followed by two more goals from Lynchburg  making it a 6-4 halftime score.

Lynchburg added five more in the second half while the Captains had three. Scoring in the second half for CNU was Harkey with two and Rachel Tomlinson with one.

CNU led in shots with 28 to Lynchburg's 27 and the teams were even in groundballs with 15.

Gayle Robinson played all 60 minutes in the net and had 12 saves.

The Captains travel to Methodist University on Saturday, March 27, for a game at 2:00 pm.
