Box Score ARLINGTON, VA – The Christopher Newport University men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-5 decision at Marymount University on Saturday. The Captains are now 1-1 on the season. Freshman attacker, Britt Hoover (Gainesville, VA) led CNU with two goals, an assist and two ground balls. Jake Myers (Charlottesville, VA), Ray Fitzgerald (Alexandria, VA) and John Glaser (Cincinnati, OH) each added another goal. Freshman Andy McGregor (Springfield, VA) had 18 saves in the net for the Captains.

The Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period but the play in the second period evened out with each team scoring one goal. The Saints went on to score six in each of the third and fourth periods while CNU netted a total of four making the final score 17-5.

The Captains return to action in Greensboro, NC against Guilford College on Wednesday, March 3 at 4:00 pm.
