ARLINGTON, VA – Christopher Newport's women's basketball squad let a 10 point first half lead slip away as Marymount came roaring from behind for an 82-63 win in the Marymount Holiday Classic Saturday evening.

The Captains lead 28-18 with just over nine minutes to play and the Saints closed the half out-scoring CNU, 24-12, over the final nine minutes to lead by two at the break.

Marymount used that momentum and transferred it into the start of the second half as they out-scored Christopher Newport 26-4 over the first 11 minutes to lead by 24, 68-44. The Saints cruised from there, not allowing CNU to get any closer than 18 points.
