CROZET, VA – Christopher Newport's volleyball squad, ranked 21st in the country, swept Washington & Lee in a neutral site match played at Western Albemarle High School Sunday afternoon.
The win for the Captains was the 11th straight and 12th win in their last 13 matches.
CNU won by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-17.
Christopher Newport was paced by Ellen Koch's nine kills and four digs. She also had two block assists. Becca Davis finished with eight kills and Liz Bush added seven. Allie Wolfe totaled six kills and 13 digs while Mary Horner contributed 11 digs.
Ryann Lowery had a match-high 19 assists to go along with four aces and four digs. Jessie Heavenrich finished with 15 assists.
The Generals fall to 9-4 on the year and the Captains improve to 14-3. CNU returns to action Wednesday when they host Shenandoah at 6 pm.
