NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport's men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 5 York (PA) on day two of the VCAM/CNU Classic Saturday night.

The Spartans scored the first four goals of the game to take control. The Captains lone score came in the 89^th minute when Tyler Clare scored unassisted.

York out-shot CNU, 19-7. Matt Tengs made six saves in goal.

The Spartans improve to 2-0 on the year while Christopher Newport falls to 1-1. The Captains return to action Saturday when they travel to Marietta, OH to take on Westminster at 1 pm.
