Former Men's Soccer Player Michael Caro Named To Puerto Rican National Team

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Former Christopher Newport men's soccer player Michael Caro was named to the Puerto Rican National Team.

 

Caro is a native of Arlington, VA and graduated from West Potomac High School.

 

Caro was named the USA South's Player of the Year and was also a First Team All-Conference selection. He was also named First Team All-State.

 

He led the Captains with 20 goals and 41 points. For his career, Caro finished with 39 goals, 14 assists, and 61 points. His 39 goals rank him third all-time in program history. His 20 goals in 2007 are the second most in any single season in school history.

 

Puerto Rico lost to Honduras 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Caro entered the game in the 80th minute.
